Job description


Under the responsibility of the maintenance manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of electrical components of equipment. 


Support the plant in finding solutions to equipment breakdowns;
Provide technical support;
Support the planning and scheduling system;
Develop the diagnostic process;
Systematically analyze major (repetitive) equipment failures in collaboration with the machine managers and ensure the implementation of corrective measures; 
Support supervisors and maintenance employees on diagnostic methods and safe and efficient work methods;
Train maintenance personnel on diagnostic methods and work methods;
Review the preventive maintenance program according to equipment breakdowns in collaboration with the machine managers;
Perform a weekly analysis of the work planning in collaboration with the planner and the maintenance supervisor in order to improve the planning process;
Attend the morning production meeting;
Meet regularly with the operations staff to establish work priorities for the upcoming week;
Perform detailed analysis of major breakdowns and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive measures;
Analyze high intervention and critical areas;
Liaise with engineering when design improvements are required;
Ensure that information recording systems are effective and up-to-date: drawings, methods, procedures;
Contribute directly to the development and monitoring of budgets
Establish an ongoing training program on factory equipment and new developments;
Occasionally replace supervisors during vacations or vacations. 


Working conditions

12 hour daytime schedule (7am-7pm) on a 3-2-2-3 schedule; flexibility to work 4 months or more if desired, 4-3 nighttime schedule on a 12 hour basis (7pm-7am);
12 hour/day schedule, or 42 hours per week;
Occasional international travel (once a year);
Physical effort;
Work environment: factory 65% and office 35%;
Percentage of work time at the computer: 25%.

Skills profile

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automated production;
3 to 5 years experience desirable;
Experience in maintenance in a unionized manufacturing environment, with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and electromechanical equipment (an asset);
French (oral and written).
